They all finally know that Lora (Amy Austria) was the true mother of Javier and Alexander (both portrayed by Coco Martin). And Alondra (Lorna Tolentino) is the one to blame for breaking the family apart. She immediately fled to save herself.
Javier is proven not guilty of the drugs and armoury he was framed for and wasn't sent to jail.

Alondra meanwhile falls in the hands of the rebels and uses her to get hold of Javier and Lora. She is surprised to hear that they would help her despite all her wrong doings.
Alexander go in place of Javier because he is more skilled. Alexander gave the ring to Krista (Maja Salvador), saying she should wait for him because they are still getting married.
The rebels attached dynamites to Alondra. Alexander and Lora arrives in the rebel camp. Ka Diego orders that the two should be killed because of treason. But the real Javier showed up and gun fires ensued.
Lora is left with Alondra trying to figure out how to detonate the bomb. But Ka Diego (Ronnie Lazaro) has already activated the timer. The military had to vacate the area and leave Alondra to die. Alexander tried to detonate the bomb for the last time but Ka Diego shot Javier and Alexander shot Ka Diego and Alexander had to carry Javier away from Alondra.
The series ends a year after with Lora and Joaquin (John Estrada) and Alexander and Krista celebrating a combined wedding. Gen. Jaime (Ronaldo Valdez) is now retired and has passed on his seat to Edgardo (Dante Rivero). Alexander and Krista are happy parents of twin brothers.
The final scene shows Joaquin, Lora, Alexander, Krista, and Javier with the babies fulfilling the dream of a complete family.
