Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition premieres August 20

For those who wants to know when Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition will start, it's on August 20, 2011!

This is a show I am really excited about. I have seen Junior MasterChef Autralia and I enjoyed it. Every dish that the kids came up makes you wish your future kids are as good cooks as they are.

Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition is a reality cooking talent show where a group of kids from age 8-12 are given cooking challenges like naming the ingredients through taste, cooking a dish from limited ingredients and even serving meals to a large group of people.

Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition starts August 20, 2011

JMC Pinoy Edtion airs its first episode on August 20, 2011 which falls on a Saturday. It will be a primetime show with 5-6 more weekly shows until they move to daily shows for 13 weeks.

The August 20, 2011 episode is more of a primer. The real premiere episode will be on August 27, 2011 after Wansapanatym.

I am glad that it's a weekly show because then I can come up with a weekly episode reviews. What do you think?

Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition Host and Chefs

JMC Pinoy Edition is hosted by Judy Ann Santos. This will be her first hosting job so we don't know how it would turn out yet. What I don't want to see is Judy Ann "acting" on the set just to please the kids. I hope she will be just natural.

By the way, Judy Ann says in a commercial that she studied as chef. Is it really true? Or is just a promo for this show?

Three of the Philippine's top chefs will join Judy Ann to be the judges, critics and mentors of the kids. At least they got real chefs and not some celebrities who are good at cooking.

Here are a few information about the three chefs:

Fernando "Ferns" Aracama: Obtained his degree at the New England Culinary School in Vermont and later opened Uva restaurant in Greenbelt 2

Rolando "Lau" Laudico: Studied at Culinary Institute of America and opened Bistro in 2006

JP "Jayps" Anglo: Studied at the Center of Culinary Arts in Manila and Sydney, Australia and later opened Mushu Asian Restaurant in Bacolod.
