Iglot (GMA 7) Trailer - Where did Iglot come from?

GMA 7's newest primetime offering is a fantasy drama series about a peculiar egg. Iglot is also about two souls looking for their lost loved ones. One looking for her daughter and one looking for her mother.

Introducing in this drama series is Milkcah Wynne Nacion, who will play the role of Luningning, Mariella's lost daughter.

This is also the first time in a primetime series on GMA 7 of Claudine Barretto, who will play the role of Mariella.

Iglot Plot Summary/Synopsis

Iglot is the story of an egg who is separated from its ancestors and a mother and daughter separated from each other.

The legend of the Unggiko tells of the odd, funny and healing creatures who are pets of the Mulawin. But because of their unsightly look, they were feared, punished and killed, until only one egg remains of their race. This egg is hidden inside a volcano and will only go out when the volcano erupts.

However, this volcanic eruption is reason why Mariella will be separated from her daughter. During the eruption, her daughter was hidden to her and she was made believed that her daughter died in the disaster. But she believed in her heart that her daughter is still alive.

Meanwhile, the daughter went into the hands of Lola Idang, who named her Luningning. Luningning found this peculiar egg which she named Iglot, which is how she pronounced the word "itlog".

What awaits the fate of this mother and daughter? And what creature will come out of the egg once it hatch?

Iglot is said to be the reunion of former Kapamilya talents in the Kapuso Network. Six of the cast of Iglot are formerly from ABS-CBN.
