How Guns and Roses Ended: Final Episode (September 23, 2011)

Guns and Roses started airing June 6, 2011, thus it only aired for four months. Reports said that it was cancelled due to negative feedbacks and low ratings. This is because Guns and Roses is not the usual kind of teleserye. It is not made for the masses. It only caters to a specific demographic.

Its short run is actually a blessing in disguise. The writers focused more on the story behind Abel, Senyor and Tsong Philip rather than beating the bush with dramas and romantic scenes. It has been compact and more powerful.

Tsong Philip gave Abel hints on their location saying the name of the street is a name of a flower, that his mother is in the second floor of an abandoned building and Reign is in the third floor.

Abel found the place. He managed to kill Tsong Philips men with a knife and saved his mother.

When Tsong Philip found out that Abel has arrived he went to kill Reign. But Marcus (Diether Ocampo) stopped him and took Reign off the noose and she escapes while Tsong Philip and Marcus fought. Marcus fell unconscious and Tsong Philip ran after Reign.

Abel met Tsong Philip pointing a gun at Reign. Tsong instructed Abel to drop his weapons and walk way from them. Tsong Philip revealed that he killed Abel's father Peping, and Reign's father Don Lucio (Mark Gil). Abel was enraged and about to lounge at Tsong Philip but Tsong shot him.

Abel must be wearing bulletproof vest or he has superpowers because he still managed to get up and throw a kick. This time, he has the turn to kill Tsong but Reign stopped him. Abel untied Reign's hand and they were hugging when Tsong got a gun and shot Abel multiple times in the back. Reign got a gun from Abel's jacket and shot Tsong. Tsong was about to shoot Reign but Marcus shot him.

In the last scenes, Marcus was imprisoned. Tsong Philip got mentally ill. Reign is holding a baby who is being baptized. In the next scene, she was laying the baby in a swing where she is joined by Abel who has survived.

It's interesting to note that Abel is still sporting the mustache and long hair, after all those years! This is because of his MMFF movie Mr. Wong. We also learned that in the ice scene, Bea Alonzo actually slipped because it is really very cold and the coldness is climbing up her legs.

No new teleserye will replace Guns and Roses. They will only loosen up their tight primetime schedule.
